Are you passionate about social justice, storytelling, and creating content that sparks meaningful change? The Peace Economy Project is looking for a creative, motivated Social Media Intern to help expand our digital presence and support campaigns that challenge militarization and uplift community-centered solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Develop engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Bluesky
- Transform research and reports into clear, compelling visuals
- Support major campaigns such as the Valentine’s Day Vigil Against Gun Violence and the Domestic Militarization Watch
- Schedule posts, track analytics, and help grow our audience
- Collaborate with our Executive Director, fellows, and volunteer team
- Bring fresh ideas to amplify our mission and strengthen our online voice
What We’re Looking For
- Strong interest in peace, justice, activism, or public policy
- Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools
- Excellent writing skills and a strong visual sense
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly
- Bonus: experience with Reels/TikTok editing, newsletters, or basic analytics
