About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Operations, the Internship Coordinator plays a critical role in launching and running R.O.Y.O.’s brand new College to Credit Program. This role is responsible for overseeing all volunteer staff who join the organization to fulfill a college internship or practicum program. - Regular Check-ins & Support: Conduct consistent 1-on-1 and group check-ins with interns and their respective volunteer leaders to monitor progress, address challenges, and support project completion.
- Educational Partnerships: Cultivate and foster positive, collaborative relationships with colleges, universities, and academic advisors to maintain internship referral pathways and satisfy academic credit criteria.
- Evaluations & Accountability: Oversee the evaluation process, conducting midterm and final performance appraisals while ensuring mutual accountability between interns, volunteer leaders, and the organization.
- Onboarding & Orientation: Facilitate structured orientation sessions for incoming interns to set clear expectations regarding organizational values, commitment, and deliverables.
- Record Keeping & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of intern hours, required academic documentation, evaluations, and confidentiality agreements.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with best practices in internship management and non-profit volunteer administration to continuously refine program structure.
