About the Role

As the Executive Director, you will provide strategic leadership for Grievia, guiding organizational growth, fundraising efforts, external partnerships, and long-term vision. You will work closely with the Board and leadership team to drive impact and make key decisions that advance Grievia’s mission.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute Grievia’s strategic vision and organizational priorities.
• Lead fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and resource development efforts.
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners, stakeholders, and communities.
• Manage Board relationships, reporting, and governance processes.
• Provide leadership and direction across all organizational functions.
• Support sustainable growth and long-term organizational development.

Who This Role Is For

• Prior experience (5+ years preferred) in executive leadership, nonprofit management, organizational strategy, fundraising, or a related role.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing partnerships, and driving organizational initiatives.
• Strong understanding of governance, strategic planning, and organizational decision-making.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to represent Grievia with professionalism, empathy, and integrity.
• Ability to provide a commitment of at least 10 hours per week for the role.
• Passion for advancing compassionate conversations around grief, loss, and connection.
• Comfortable leading a remote, multicultural, and mission-driven organization.
