    Overview

    The International Youth Federation (IYF) is a global non-profit youth organization network governed by the present Statutes and the Swiss Civil Code. It is politically neutral, and non-denominational, aiming to empower youth worldwide.

    The International Relations Commission (IRC) works to build, foster and maintains corporate partnerships and coordinate donor resource mobilization efforts. IRC liaise, formulate partnerships agreements and oversee IYF relations with partners, donors and governments toward facilitating IYF activities and achieving the mutual interests. The commission supports the leadership of the IYF by positioning and promoting the organization in inter-agency and intergovernmental affairs and is responsible for scanning and anticipating trends that influence IYF policy, preparing proactive strategy options for coherent multi-stakeholder engagement.

    The IYF NGO Accreditation Center (NAC) is a global assessment facility provides objective evidence that youth-led and organizations that work in the field of youth development operates at the highest level of programme and operational excellence, legal and technical standards.

    Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Chair IRC, the Director NAC has an integral role in providing strategic oversight of the center including accreditation services and programme management. His/her responsibilities includes participation in oversight, approvals, monitoring and evaluating, suggesting and implementing needed changes and continuous quality improvement to the overall accreditation process.

    Mission Statement

    To voluntarily represent, positively promote, and uphold the mission of “Empowering youth for a better world” in various programs and opportunities throughout the IYF interventions across member countries.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    (A) Accreditation management and oversight:

    • Manages and coordinates departmental activities related to the international accreditation process.
    • Manage and support accreditation staff in managing processes (applications, worksheets, systems, accreditation manual, developing and conducting relevant training).
    • Oversee Portal data to support data analysis and reporting as needed.
    • Develops proofs of compliance for accreditation standards, prepares policy drafts and prepares written documentation and reports.
    • Recommends changes in policies and procedures when indicated by accreditation updates, changes, or modifications.
    • Oversee IYF engagement with accredited NGOs, through NAC programmes, activities and initiatives in collaboration with Regional Administrations and advance further public engagement.
    • Support accredited organizations/associations accreditation at IYF, through assist in connecting youth organizations with IYF for registration.

    (B) Communications and knowledge-sharing support:

    • Maintain active and regular communication with the accredited IYF® organizations at different levels.
    • Share organizations achievements, success stories, youth progressing and related news to Department of Public Information (DPI).
    • Provide annual report about NAC activities, stats and accredited organizations.
    • Develops and conducts training on accreditation and professional standards.

    • Inspire (Level-3) Inspiration and lead by example is about energizing and creating a sense of direction and purpose in others, unlocking motivation and momentum for positive change.

    • Ability to conceptualize and convey strategic vision from the spectrum of development experience.
    • Strong people management skills.
    • Ability to provide information, tools, resources to support work achievement.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

    Eligibility

    • Highly interested in youth empowerment issues.
    • Relevant management and administrative support skills are required.

    Experience

    Three years of experience and results preferred in administrative, human resources, youth empowerment role, training, knowledge management, development, communications, international relations, capacity building, sport, women empowerment, public administration, public affairs, political science, international relations, economic affairs, social science, business administration, law, development studies, youth-led organizations or another relevant field.

    Assessment

    Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by a competency-based interview.

    Language

    Fluency in English with superior drafting skills is essential.

    Time commitment

    • The duties can be performed remotely from any location; and
    • As we are working on a very flexible schedule, the time commitment will be around (5-10 hours/week), but that may vary from week to another.
