Through initiatives such as the Global Africa Summit and the 6Africa platform, AIN works to strengthen economic ecosystems, expand market access, and support inclusive growth through collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange.

    Position Overview

AIN is seeking a Learning & Capacity Development Fellow (Volunteer) to support the development of educational and capacity-building pathways connected to entrepreneurship, professional development, trade, investment, and ecosystem engagement.

The fellow will support research, partnership engagement, and program development efforts related to learning opportunities that can help strengthen participation across Africa and diaspora communities—particularly among entrepreneurs, professionals, youth, and women.

This role is ideal for someone interested in:

    • Global education and workforce development

    • Identify educational content relevant to entrepreneurship, trade, leadership, innovation, investment readiness, and professional development
    • Support the organization and evaluation of learning resources for future ecosystem engagement initiatives

    Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Research and help identify potential learning and training partners including universities, training providers, accelerators, and professional organizations
    • Support outreach and engagement efforts with institutions aligned with AIN’s mission and ecosystem priorities
    • Assist with partnership tracking and stakeholder coordination

    Program Development Support

    • Contribute to the development of learning and professional development pathways for entrepreneurs, diaspora professionals, youth, and women
    • Support concept development for workshops, virtual learning engagements, and ecosystem capacity-building initiatives
    • Assist with research and benchmarking of innovative workforce and entrepreneurship development models

    Strategic Research & Content Support

    • Conduct research on global trends in workforce development, entrepreneurship education, and digital learning ecosystems
    • Support preparation of briefing materials, concept notes, and internal research summaries
    • Help identify emerging opportunities to strengthen ecosystem participation and knowledge access

    Qualifications

    • Student, recent graduate, or early-career professional in education, international development, business, public policy, communications, economics, or related fields
    • Strong research and organizational skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
    • Interest in Africa-focused development, entrepreneurship, diaspora engagement, or workforce development
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

    Preferred:

    • Experience researching educational programs, training platforms, or workforce development initiatives
    • Familiarity with online learning ecosystems and digital education platforms
    • Interest in entrepreneurship, innovation, or professional development programming

    • Exposure to emerging conversations around global workforce development, entrepreneurship, and ecosystem growth
    • Opportunity to contribute to innovative Africa- and diaspora-focused initiatives
    • Experience supporting strategic partnership development and learning ecosystem research
    • Professional networking and mentorship opportunities through AIN’s global network
