Location(s): Bristol, CT

Hours: Mon.-Sat., 7:00am-12:30pm

Desired level of commitment: Twice per month

Duration: Year-round

Age requirement: 21+

Tasks may include:

• Monitoring a "day room" (community room) at a basic needs program
• Enforcing rules
• Setting up the "help yourself table"
• Serving 45 people or less
• Sanitizing tables between clients
• Offering assistance
• Developing relationships
• Encouraging
• Listening
• Providing prayer
• Maintaining a safe judgement-free environment
• Cleaning at the end of the shift
• Breaking down

In order to volunteer, you should be:

• A registered UAServe volunteer (you will have a chance to register if you haven't already)
• Willing to attend an orientation prior to volunteering
• Willing to submit a background check
• Open to an ongoing volunteer commitment that works with your schedule
• Reliable
• Patient
• Honest
• Personable
