For 106 years, Anixter Center has been a trusted nonprofit in Chicago, championing inclusion and access for all. Today, we serve more than 7,000 individuals living with disabilities, people in need of mental health support, and people who are Deaf, DeafBlind, or Hard of Hearing.

As an Anixter Ambassador Board Member, you’ll have the chance to grow as a leader, expand your professional network, and make a lasting impact. This is a volunteer commitment of at least one year—and a unique opportunity to become a Founding Member of an exciting new initiative at Anixter Center.

✨ What You’ll Do

• Be a voice for inclusion through advocacy, awareness, and fundraising.
• Collaborate with like-minded leaders on events, campaigns, and community engagement.
• Support major Anixter Center events like the Gala and Golf Outing.
• Contribute fresh ideas to committees such as Fundraising, Events, or Community Connections.
• Help raise awareness and funds (with a shared fundraising goal of $2,000/year).

🕒 Commitment at a Glance:

• Attend 6 meetings per year (virtual + in-person options).
• Dedicate 1–2 hours monthly to meetings, outreach, or events.
• Be an active presence in board-led initiatives and campaigns.

What does the $2,000 “give-get” goal mean?

It’s a shared fundraising target, but there are flexible ways to reach it—and the Philanthropy Team will be with you every step of the way. Your give-get could come from:

• A personal gift you choose to make
• Inviting your employer, neighbors, family, or friends to contribute
• Bringing ticketed guests to an Anixter fundraising event
• Or a combination of these, including stepping into a leadership role on the Ambassador Board

The $2,000 is truly a goal, not a barrier. We’d love to discuss what feels comfortable for you and work together on making it manageable.
