Help Ensure Ethical Social Science Research as an Institutional Analyst

We are seeking dedicated volunteers to join the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for California Social Labs, a social science nonprofit dedicated to advancing social science research.

What You'll Do

• Review research protocols to ensure ethical treatment of human subjects
• Evaluate studies for exempt status and compliance with federal regulations
• Attend quarterly meetings (1-2 hours) and conduct protocol reviews
• Help protect research participants and their data while advancing social science

We're Looking For

• Advanced degree a plus but not required
• Research experience in science, public health, education, or related field a plus but not required
• Interest in research ethics and human subjects protection
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Commitment to serve for minimum 1-year term

• Professionals in education, healthcare, social services, or related fields

Time Commitment

3-6 hours per month including meetings and protocol reviews
