Description
We are seeking dedicated volunteers to join the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for California Social Labs, a social science nonprofit dedicated to advancing social science research.
What You'll Do
- Review research protocols to ensure ethical treatment of human subjects
- Evaluate studies for exempt status and compliance with federal regulations
- Attend quarterly meetings (1-2 hours) and conduct protocol reviews
- Help protect research participants and their data while advancing social science
We're Looking For
- Advanced degree a plus but not required
- Research experience in science, public health, education, or related field a plus but not required
- Interest in research ethics and human subjects protection
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Commitment to serve for minimum 1-year term
