Do you and your pet have a calm, comforting presence? We are seeking compassionate volunteers and their animals to bring warmth, connection, and comfort to patients receiving hospice care.
Pet visits can:
- Reduce anxiety and loneliness
- Provide emotional comfort and companionship
- Spark joyful memories and meaningful conversations
- Offer gentle sensory support through touch and presence
Volunteer Requirements:
- Up-to-date vaccinations and health records
- Calm temperament and reliable obedience
- Ability to commit to scheduled visits
- Completion of hospice volunteer training
What You’ll Do:
- Visit hospice patients in private homes or care facilities
- Provide supervised, gentle interaction with patients and families
- Offer compassionate presence during meaningful moments
- Follow hospice care guidelines and infection control protocols
