Oasis Hospice healing paws program is in need volunteers and their beautiful animals (license not required)

Do you and your pet have a calm, comforting presence? We are seeking compassionate volunteers and their animals to bring warmth, connection, and comfort to patients receiving hospice care.

Pet visits can:

• Reduce anxiety and loneliness
• Provide emotional comfort and companionship
• Spark joyful memories and meaningful conversations
• Offer gentle sensory support through touch and presence

Volunteer Requirements:

• Up-to-date vaccinations and health records
• Calm temperament and reliable obedience
• Ability to commit to scheduled visits
• Completion of hospice volunteer training

What You’ll Do:

• Visit hospice patients in private homes or care facilities
• Provide supervised, gentle interaction with patients and families
• Offer compassionate presence during meaningful moments
• Follow hospice care guidelines and infection control protocols
