Be the Top Banana! Help a Person with Legal Blindness Get Their Groceries

Help a person who is legally blind to get to the grocery store and you will be their TOP BANANA! Extreme temperatures - Summer heat, Winter cold and the seasons just keep changing but these folks are taking the bus to get their groceries, a few flimsy plastic bags is all they can carry but your assistance will enable them to get a whole week's worth of groceries and keep fresh and healthy foods readily available. But there's more than just grocery shopping, go out for coffee or have a chat on the front porch, take a walk at the park; it's all good!

Requirements to be a great volunteer include:

• a desire to help others;
• a pleasant demeanor;
• a good reading/speaking voice;
• average reading skills;
• organizational or planning abilities;
• a good driving record;
• a clear criminal history;
• two references
• access to a car with proof of insurance;
• a minimum of $50/100k liability and $5,000 of property damage coverage.
