Commit to weekly visits with your matched participant for one year. Visit times are scheduled jointly to fit both schedules. Volunteers should maintain regular contact and notify their participant and program when unable to attend a scheduled visit

Descrição

The Visiting Volunteers Program is our "signature" volunteer opportunity, connecting older adults and individuals with disabilities with caring community members who provide companionship and support. Volunteers build meaningful one-on-one relationships through weekly visits over the course of a year, helping reduce loneliness and social isolation while enhancing quality of life.

Volunteers receive training in person-centered engagement. Visit schedules are flexible and determined by you and your matched friend. If you're looking for a rewarding way to make a lasting difference and build a meaningful relationship, we'd love to have you join us.

Commitment: Weekly visits (flexible) for one year

Impact: Helping older adults and people with disabilities remain connected, supported, and independent in their own homes for as long as possible.
