Targeting an informatics professional to bridge your raw patient logs to the OMOP/SNOMED-CT standards required by pharma.
HHP is seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Data Manager / Data Steward to ensure our rapidly growing Shared Patient Information (SPI) database meets "regulatory-grade" data fidelity standardizations. Working under the direct guidance of our experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), you will be the hands-on technical architect mapping user-generated health tracking data into clean, compliant formats that pharmaceutical data scientists can query immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Map conversational and structured user tracking logs (symptoms, medication compliance, lifestyle factors) into industry-standard medical ontologies, including SNOMED-CT and RxNorm.
- Assist the CTO in structuring HHP's relational database into the OMOP Common Data Model (CDM).
- Ensure data provenance is meticulously documented from user ingestion to de-identified data rooms.
- Run internal quality audits on pilot data (Migraine and Lupus cohorts) to prepare registries for external B2B review.
Qualifications
- Background or active degree program in Health Informatics, Biostatistics, Healthcare Data Analytics, or equivalent clinical data experience.
- Practical understanding of medical coding vocabularies (SNOMED-CT, RxNorm, ICD-10) and relational database frameworks.
- Experience or keen interest in Python, SQL, or automated data transformation pipelines within web stacks (Laravel/React).
- Strong understanding of data minimization and structural data privacy constraints.
Commitment
Volunteer basis, 4–8 hours per week. Perfect for a working professional looking to make a massive impact or a graduate student looking for high-level, real-world portfolio exposure under executive mentorship.
