Clinical Trials Education & Navigation Support Volunteer

Purpose:

Support Tigerlily’s SPARK Clinical Trials initiatives by increasing awareness, accessibility, and culturally competent understanding of clinical trial participation among underserved communities. This role bridges research education with community trust-building.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with development of plain-language clinical trial education materials
• Support clinical trial database updates and opportunity tracking
• Assist with survivor/patient inquiry routing and follow-up coordination
• Support data tracking related to clinical trial engagement metrics
• Collaborate with Health Literacy and Research COEs on aligned initiatives

Ideal Skills / Background:

• Public health, biology, nursing, psychology, or pre-medical students
• Interest in oncology, patient navigation, or research equity
• Strong communication and empathy skills
• Ability to translate complex medical information into accessible language
• Comfort working with sensitive health information in a respectful, confidential manner
