The Collateral Legal Assistance for Survivors (CLAS) Program at the Women’s Law Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate law student to join our team as an intern. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in providing trauma-informed legal support to survivors of domestic violence in complex, high-conflict family law matters.
About Us: The Women’s Law Center is a non-profit organization providing holistic legal services to survivors of domestic violence. The mission of WLC is to ensure the physical safety, economic security, and bodily autonomy of women throughout Maryland. This mission is achieved through direct legal services, educational hotlines, and advocacy. The CLAS program focuses on representing survivors in high-conflict divorce, custody, and child support cases, often involving complicated procedural or factual issues such as ongoing safety concerns, immigration barriers, or financial abuse.
