Help Us Get Life-Changing Products Into the Community

Every dog we save costs money.

Every product we sell helps make that possible.

What we've built over the past eighteen months isn't just a product line. It's a collection of tools designed to create connection, comfort, healing, and understanding for both people and animals.

The problem is that I can only be in so many places at once.

Legacy Paws Rescue is a veteran-owned 501(c)(3) dog rescue and sanctuary in Catawba, North Carolina, and we are looking for a local volunteer to help introduce our products and mission to retailers throughout our community and beyond.

Our products include:

Magical Mutts — handcrafted rescue dog companions designed to teach children empathy, dog safety, emotional literacy, and compassion through play.

Magical Mutts Special Edition Kits — created specifically for children fighting cancer and children in foster care, offering comfort, connection, and a reminder that they matter during some of life's most difficult seasons.

Journaling Is for the Dogs — guided journals focused on grief, emotional resilience, self-discovery, and mental wellness.

Legacy Paws Calendars and Mission Merchandise — products that directly support the rescue and the dogs in our care.

We're looking for someone who believes these products deserve to be seen.

Someone who enjoys building relationships.

Someone who isn't afraid to walk into a store, introduce themselves, and share a mission they believe in.

Responsibilities may include:

• Identifying potential retail and wholesale partners
• Building relationships with local businesses
• Introducing our products to boutique owners and buyers
• Reaching out to children's stores, gift shops, pet stores, hospital gift shops, and specialty retailers
• Helping establish wholesale partnerships
• Maintaining relationships with participating retailers
• Identifying new opportunities for growth and community impact

This role is not about aggressive sales.

It's about helping connect meaningful products with the people who need them.

The ideal volunteer is comfortable talking with people, enjoys relationship building, works independently, and understands that every partnership created helps support the animals in our care while expanding the impact of our mission.

Because this role involves community outreach and relationship building, applicants should live in or near Catawba County or surrounding North Carolina communities.

The vision for Legacy Paws has always been bigger than rescue.

We're building programs that help children, support families, honor grief, strengthen the human-animal bond, and create a community centered around kindness.

We're looking for someone who wants to help bring that vision into the world.
