Join the Board: Become a Project Lead with a Youth Led Non profit Dedicated to Animal Welfare

The UVFA Project Lead role is a leadership-focused volunteer position for motivated students who want to join the Board and take ownership of one of UVFA’s core initiatives. Project Leads choose one of two tracks—Awareness Journal (Tails of Tales) or Kindness Curriculum Educational Outreach—and guide their project from development to completion with support from UVFA team.

    What You’ll Lead

    • Recruit and support volunteer writers
    • Edit and publish articles that raise awareness and spark compassion
    • Build partnerships with shelters or students to gather stories and insights
    • Run monthly content cycles and ensure quality, consistency, and impact

This track is ideal for volunteers who enjoy writing, journalism, storytelling, content editing, and digital advocacy.

    You will:

    • Organize and deliver educational sessions on empathy and responsible animal care
    • Partner with schools, libraries, youth clubs, and community centers
    • Recruit and train volunteers to help with presentations or activities
    • Host workshops, discussions, and kid-friendly learning modules
    • Develop new lesson ideas and interactive outreach projects

This track is ideal for volunteers who love teaching, public speaking, planning events, and working with youth.

    General Responsibilities (Both Tracks)

    • Lead a volunteer team of 3–10 people
    • Plan and execute at least one project milestone per month or semester
