About Kafika House
Kafika House is a rehabilitative surgery programme in northern Tanzania for children receiving pre-and post-operative care for a surgically treatable disability. We provide health services for children with osteofluorosis (genu varus and valgus), burn scar contractures, cleft lip and palate, clubfoot, and osteomyelitis. Our scope of practice encompasses patient recruitment through outreach, preoperative care, surgical care at one of our partner hospitals, and full recuperation and rehabilitation. By making holistic and transformative healthcare accessible to children living with a treatable disability in Tanzania, we provide hope and change the face of disability among families and communities.
