About Us:

Bududa Acting Club (BAC) is a passionate film and drama project based in Mbale, Uganda, dedicated to promoting storytelling, charity work, and community volunteering through creative film and drama. We create inspiring content that highlights social issues and empower youths to tell their own stories.

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a detail oriented Remote Translator / Subtitler to help us translate scripts, video subtitles, and promotional materials. Your work will help our stories reach a broader, multilingual audience and ensure our messages are accessible worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate scripts, video subtitles, and marketing materials accurately and sensitively.
• Ensure subtitles are synced properly with video content.
• Collaborate remotely with the creative team to understand context and tone.
• Help maintain the quality and consistency of translations.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in English and at least one other language
• Experience with subtitle creation and translation tools (e.g., Aegisub, Subtitle Edit) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
