PROVAIL is seeking volunteers to assist our events team during an unforgettable evening dedicated to celebrating diversity and promoting inclusivity in our community. Powering Inclusion is a prestigious event that brings together leaders, advocates, and supporters who are passionate about advancing opportunities and equality for individuals with disabilities.
This event is a special occasion to honor the advancements made by PROVAIL to ensure our communities are accessible to all. Together, we strive to create a community where everyone, regardless of ability, has the choice to live the life they choose which ensures we all grow alongside one another.
Expand the position list below for available shifts/positions. Please indicate the position(s) you are interested in and available times during signup. Volunteers are welcome work several shifts that are at non-conflicting times! There will be a brief online welcome and training prior to the event and onsite training for each position.
12 shifts/positions available:
- Registration Volunteers: Computer use. Will be assisting in registering guests, taking credit card info, providing seating info. 4:30 to 7:00 PST
- Registration Packets: Pull registration packets for guests. 4:30 to 7:00 PST
- Item Pick up & Delivery: help pick up items in the Seattle area (will need your own vehicle and the ability to transport items) and deliver them to the venue. Items include desserts, spirits & wine, equipment, etc. 1:00pm-5:00pm PST
- Set-up: Assist with setting up registration, placing signage, adding centerpieces on tables, lifting tables, etc. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. 2:30 to 4:30 PST
- Dessert Dash Volunteers. Place desserts and dessert table tents on Dessert Dash tables. Must be organized with very clear handwriting. 3:00 to 5:00 PST
- Games/Activations: setup and monitor games/activity stations during cocktail hour. Talk to guests, explain rules, and record bidder numbers. 5:00 to 7:00 PST
- Raffle Seller: Sell raffle tickets during the cocktail reception. Must be outgoing and personable. 5:00 to 7:00 PST
- Live Auction Raise the Paddle Runner: Bring recorder sheets from recording table to registration table. Must be able to move quickly. 6:00 to 9:00 PST
- Live Auction Recorder: Must be 21+. Fast paced task requires sitting at table by stage, good hearing and legible handwriting. 6:00 to 9:00 PST
- Spotter: Alert the auctioneer to the bids and call out the bidder numbers. Meet with the auctioneer beforehand. Energetic and can read nonverbal cues. 6:00 to 9:00 PST
- Check-Out: assist with closing auction and packaging auction items for guests. 7:00 to 10:00 PST
- Clean-up Volunteer: assist with removing leftover items like centerpieces and packing up supplies. 8:00 to 10:00 PST
