Looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Come hang out, connect, and Step Into Joy with the amazing members at Oakwood Creative Care!

Oakwood Creative Care is a day program for seniors experiencing all stages of cognitive decline. Our Clubs and Hubs are welcoming, engaging spaces where our members spend their days participating in activities, making friends, staying active, and enjoying life.

No experience is required to volunteer with us! You don’t need to be a dementia expert or have a special skill. Sometimes the most meaningful thing you can do is simply spend time with someone—talk with them, play a game, help with an activity, listen to their stories, dance, create art, or just be present and have fun.

Through our new Volunteer Shift Manager, you can choose the location and shifts that work best for you. Volunteers can get involved at one of our Clubs or Hubs and help with things like:

• Spending time and building friendships with our members
• Helping with daily activities and programs
• Assisting with art, music, fitness, games, and other activities
• Supporting Memory Café and Hub events
• Helping with special events and community outreach
• Sharing a hobby, talent, or skill with our members
• Helping create a fun, welcoming environment

Whether you can volunteer every week, once a month, or just when your schedule allows, there’s a place for you at Oakwood!

Ready to get started? Email emilee@oakwoodcreativecare.org to set up a quick volunteer orientation and training. Once you complete your orientation, you’ll be able to start signing up for available shifts through our Volunteer Shift Manager.

Come as you are, bring your personality, and spend some time with a wonderful group of people. No experience necessary, just bring yourself, your time, and a willingness to connect!
