As a Brighton Hospice Public Health Intern, you’ll participate in a unique and enriching program that combines rotational shadowing with field-based companionship visits, as well as assisting with office administration, offering a comprehensive perspective on hospice care.

What You’ll Experience

• Shadow across key departments, including Administration, Human Resources, Intake, Volunteer Coordination, and Home Health Aide Support
• Observe interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings, gaining insight into collaborative care planning
• Accompany field teams—Social Workers, Registered Nurses, and Spiritual Care Coordinators—based on your interests and team availability
• Provide companionship to at least two patients, offering meaningful emotional support and experiencing direct patient interaction
• Engage in meaningful discussions about end-of-life care, communication, ethics, and holistic approaches to patient-centered services
