Job Description:

Scent with Love Pittsburgh is seeking a dedicated and experienced Secretary to join our Board of Directors. As a member of the board, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial future of our organization, ensuring our continued growth and impact in the community.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of board meetings, including

minutes, resolutions, and other important documents.

Meeting Preparation: Work with the chairperson and executive director to

prepare agendas for board meetings. Distribute meeting materials in advance to

ensure all members are well-informed.

Client Appreciation Letters: Draft and send thank-you letters or emails to

clients who have supported the organization through donations, volunteerism, or

other forms of engagement. Express gratitude for their contributions and let them

know how their support has made a difference.

Gratitude Events: Plan and organize special events or activities to express

gratitude to clients, such as donor appreciation dinners or volunteer recognition

ceremonies. Coordinate logistics and communications related to these events to

ensure a positive experience for clients.

Development of Templates or Guidelines: Work with the board and relevant

staff to develop standardized templates or guidelines for flower delivery

protocols. These resources can help ensure consistency in tone and messaging

across all communications.

Bylaws and Policies:

Maintain and update the organization's bylaws and other

governing documents as necessary. Ensure that board policies are followed and

suggest revisions when appropriate.
