    Cheherma Foundation facilitates a structured clinical collaboration between international healthcare volunteers and Kenyan practitioners. This professional exchange offers hands-on clinical experience, skill development, and sustainable community impact through specialized programs in urban and rural healthcare settings.

    Program Formats

    Team-Based Clinical Initiatives

    Collaborate on community health programs and mobile clinics:

    • Conduct medical consultations, vital signs monitoring, and health screenings
    • Perform dental procedures, including cleanings, fillings, and extractions
    • Deliver public health education and preventive care sessions
    • Work alongside local healthcare teams in community health projects

    Individual Clinical Placements

    Focused placements within established healthcare facilities:

    • Gain exposure to tropical and infectious diseases
    • Collaborate with licensed Kenyan medical officers and dentists
    • Learn local treatment protocols and healthcare systems
    • Develop practical clinical skills in resource-conscious settings

    Daily Schedule

    • Team Programs: 8:00 AM briefing; 9:00 AM–4:00 PM clinical operations; team debriefing
    • Clinical Placements: 8:30 AM–3:30 PM at partner facilities with local healthcare teams
    • Both formats include professional networking and cultural immersion opportunities

    Qualifications

    • Open to medical, dental, nursing, and public health students
    • Pre-medical and pre-dental students
    • Licensed healthcare professionals (MD, DDS, RN, DA, etc.)
    • Healthcare graduates and residents
    • No prior international experience required; comprehensive orientation and guidance provided
