Ceremonies are typically small and meaningfulâoften held right in the patientâs room with family, a service member or fellow Veteran, and hospice staff present. Occasionally, they may take place in a facilityâs common area with a small group gathered to honor the Veteran.
Much of the coordination can be done from home if you prefer, though youâre always welcome in the office. Because we never know how many Veterans will need a pinning, this role can varyâsome weeks may be busy, while others are quieter.
Weâre looking for someone flexible, organized, and able to work independently. This role requires comfort with phone communication to coordinate details, strong attention to tasks, and a respectful, compassionate approach to serving Veterans and individuals from all backgrounds.
