Descrição
Volunteers are an essential part of the Compassionate Hospice Care team and have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their caregivers. Your time is needed and valued.
We offer a variety of ways to volunteer:
- Companionship: talking with a patient, reading, card games, writing letters.
- Caregiver respite: providing a break for a family member to take care of their own needs.
- Volunteer with your dog and provide pet therapy
- Sing or play an instrument for a patient and/or caregiver
- Provide Massage, Reiki or Comfort Touch
- Hospice administrative support
- Bereavement support
Veterans, musicians, therapist are welcomed! No experience is required, just a willing and compassionate heart. Time commitment would be 1-2 hours per month, or more if you are available. These hours count towards volunteer requirements for educational or legal purposes.
