The Movement for Community-led Development (MCLD) is looking for a Spanish-English speaking volunteer as its membership is growing in the Latin America and Caribbean region.
MCLD is a global network of networks with a base in the Majority World (also known as the Global South). At MCLD, we believe that every person should have the opportunity to shape their own future, pursuing their own visions and goals. Too often, development is approached in a top-down way. In our theory of change, communities are at the center of every development process to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs). MCLD is a movement-organization of 3000+ grassroots organizations, NGOs, individuals and networks around the world, working to make the world more equitable. We are organized into National Associations in 25 countries across the Americas and Africa.

Helpful skills:
Language: Fluency in English and Spanish. Preference for those who also speak French.
Thematic field: community-led development, international cooperation, civil society, human rights, activism, advocacy, networking.
