Phoebe's Bridge Foundation KY is seeing 15 enthusiastic volunteers to help make our Iron Kettle Invitational Men's Chili Cook-Off a fun, welcoming, and memorable community event for everyone who attends!
This fall event brings together chili cooks, families, friends, and community members for a day filled with great food, friendly competition, games, activities, and fun for children. Volunteers will play an important role in helping the event run smoothly and ensuring our guests have a positive experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Depending on the needs of the event, volunteers may be asked to assist with one or more of the following:
- Passing out candy to children at designated candy stations
- Facilitate Ghost Bowling
- Helping children with Pumpkin Painting
- Selling raffle tickets, either from a designated raffle table or by walking through the crowd
- Operating the event drink station
- Assisting with the Iron Man Contest
- Helping with the Hot Sauce/Hot Pepper Challenge
- Assisting with the Children's Costume Parade
- Helping with setup, cleanup, and general event organization
- Providing support to other volunteers and event organizers as needed
- Taking on other tasks that may arise throughout the event
Because this is a community event with many moving parts, volunteers should be comfortable being flexible and helping wherever they are needed. Some assignments will be determined closer to or on the day of the event based on attendance and event needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for volunteers who are
- Friendly, dependable, and willing to work as part of a team
- Comfortable interacting with members of the public and families
- Responsible and able to follow directions
- Flexible and willing to take on different tasks
- Positive, energetic, and ready to help create a fun community atmosphere
- Able to arrive on time and remain for the agreed-upon volunteer shift
No Special experience is required. We will provide instructions for individual assignments. The most important qualifications are a willingness to help, a positive attituede, and a comitment to making the event successful.

Volunteer Commitment: Event-day volunteer shift; specific assignments and shift details in questionnaire; please mark you availability.

About Phoebe's Bridge Foundation KY: We are a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Kentucky families caring for children with Cerebral Palsy. 100% of the funds raised through events such as the Iron Kettle Invitational help us further our mission and provide meaningful support to these families in our community and throughout our state.

DIRECTIONS FROM ELIZABETHTOWN, KY:
- Take Bluegrass Pkwy/US-62 or KY-61 South toward Hodenville
- Continue toward Hodgenville
- Follow KY-210 toward Cambellsville
- Continue on KY-210 into Campbellsville
- Turn Left onto Nancy Cox Dr.
- Oak & Match is on the Left at 115 Nancy Cox Dr.
DIRECTIONS FROM GLASGOW, KY:
- Take Cumberland Pkwy (KY-9007) East toward Columbia
- Take the exit for KY-55 North toward Columbia/Campbellsville
- Continue on KY-55 North through Columbia and toward Campbellsville
- Enter Campbellsville and continue to the US-68/KY-55/KY-210 intersection.
- At intersection, continue straight on KY-210
- Turn Right onto Nancy Cox Dr.

- Take I-65 North toward Bowling Green
