Role Overview

As a Volunteer Retail & Merchandising Assistant, you’ll help create a welcoming and engaging shopping experience for our supporters. From organizing displays to assisting customers, your efforts will play a big part in helping our store thrive.

What You’ll Do

• Help organize and restock merchandise on the sales floor
• Create attractive displays to showcase products and promotions
• Assist customers with questions and provide friendly service
• Support basic sales transactions (if applicable)
• Keep the store clean, tidy, and inviting
• Help sort and tag incoming merchandise or donations
• Collaborate with the team on merchandising ideas and seasonal updates

Requirements/Qualifications

✅ Must be 18 years of age or older

✅ You must be willing to commit time on a regular basis

✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills

✅ Knowledge of Office365 and other computer programs is a plus.

✅ Ability to work effectively in a team environment

✅ Willingness to learn and take initiative

✅ Basic knowledge of Habitat's work and mission is a plus

✅ Passion for social impact and community service
