Our work wouldn’t be possible without the support of dedicated volunteers who keep things running behind the scenes. Volunteers are truly the lifeblood of the organization.
Role Overview
As a Volunteer Retail & Merchandising Assistant, you’ll help create a welcoming and engaging shopping experience for our supporters. From organizing displays to assisting customers, your efforts will play a big part in helping our store thrive.
What You’ll Do
- Help organize and restock merchandise on the sales floor
- Create attractive displays to showcase products and promotions
- Assist customers with questions and provide friendly service
- Support basic sales transactions (if applicable)
- Keep the store clean, tidy, and inviting
- Help sort and tag incoming merchandise or donations
- Collaborate with the team on merchandising ideas and seasonal updates

- No prior retail experience required—just enthusiasm and a positive mindset

Requirements/Qualifications
✅ Must be 18 years of age or older
✅ You must be willing to commit time on a regular basis
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✅ Knowledge of Office365 and other computer programs is a plus.
✅ Ability to work effectively in a team environment
✅ Willingness to learn and take initiative
✅ Basic knowledge of Habitat's work and mission is a plus
✅ Passion for social impact and community service
