Tulane University's Center for Public Service (CPS) was established to develop and forge long-term partnerships with the local community and oversee the public service graduation requirement for undergraduate students. The program arranges service-learning and internship experiences for students in a wide variety of community agencies (schools, hospitals, city government, environmental, business, non-governmental agencies) in the city of New Orleans. Each semester approximately 1200 Tulane students complete service projects at local agencies for approximately 2-6 hours a week through service learning courses and internship placements.
