AmeriCorps is national community service organization similar to the PeaceCorps, only our service areas are domestic (in the U.S.)

Our group "Community HealthCorps"(a branch of AmeriCorps) has a specific mission to help eliminate healthcare disparities by promoting dignified health care for the undeserved meanwhile developing tomorrow's healthcare workforce. We serve in AltaMed's community health centers in L.A and Orange counties by 'getting things done' to deliver quality healthcare without exception and create healthier communities in Southern California.
