The purpose of the Friends of Weymouth is to promote, as a charity, the conservation and development of the James Boyd Place in Moore County, North Carolina, known as “Weymouth,” with its unique virgin longleaf pine forest and rolling sand hills, as a natural preserve and park. And the spacious Boyd dwelling thereon and its curtilage, will be used as a center for educational, literary, social and civic study and similar activity for the benefit and enjoyment of present and future generations of the public.
