Great School Choices

Great School Choices, Inc., a non-profit corporation, supports the development of high quality community based public schools, including public charter schools, and also collaborates with underserved communities and families elevating their voices and supporting equitable choices and access to high quality school options.

Our signature project is our Charter School Incubator, which works with families, educators, community-based organizations, and other partners to develop responsive, sustainable, high performing, community-based schools. Our model, as opposed to writing charter school applications, focuses on developing the planning team’s internal capacity to design and implement a high quality, responsive school and write a strong charter application.

After approval, our team supports each incubated school's development into a high-performing school that provides high-quality seats to public school students. After charter approval, we support schools in the first several years of the school in implementing their charter and building a robust instructional and operational program, grounded in performance-based governance. We assemble a skilled and balanced team from Board of Trustee members to school leadership, provide critical coaching in the areas of governance, leadership, academic program and curriculum, finance and operations, engage in fundraising support, and recruit and select culture-aligned and results-driven leadership, teachers and staff to fulfill each school's mission.
