Role Overview
We are looking for a highly driven Growth & Grant Strategy Officer to support our funding pipeline and proposal development efforts. This role goes beyond traditional grant writing as you will play a key role in identifying funding opportunities, shaping proposals, and contributing to CAMEL Africa’s broader funding strategy.

Key ResponsibilitiesGrant Writing & Proposal Development
- Research, draft, and submit high-quality grant proposals to foundations and multilateral organizations
- Tailor proposals to align with donor priorities and thematic focus areas
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather programmatic and technical inputs
- Develop compelling narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation
Funding Opportunity Pipeline
- Identify and track relevant funding opportunities (foundations, multilaterals, etc.)
- Maintain and update a structured grant pipeline
- Analyze donor trends and funding priorities
Growth & Strategy Support
- Support positioning of CAMEL Africa for high-value funding opportunities
- Assist in developing partnership concepts and collaboration models
Who We’re Looking For
- Must be tech-savvy and proficient in Google Workspace and other relevant digital tools
- 1–5 years of experience in grant writing, research, development, or related fields
- Open to early-career candidates with strong writing and analytical skills
- Familiarity with international development, NGOs, or donor ecosystems
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and strong communication skills
- A functional laptop or desktop computer is required
Nice to Have
- Experience with proposals to foundations or multilateral organizations
- Understanding of development themes (e.g., health, governance, education, climate, etc.)
- Experience working in a startup or dynamic environment
