Chicago Regional Science Bowl

    The overarching goal is to increase the presence of minority students and underrepresented groups enrolled in STEM fields of study in higher education. The STEM Alumni Chicago Regional Science Bowls (RSB) intend to expose students in grades 6-12 to career opportunities in all areas of STEM and perpetuate interest in education by serving as the backbone in academic excellence.

    By targeting pre-college students through creative and educational programs there is a greater potential for their success in higher education. On a national level, the Science Bowl is designed to get young students interested in STEM. It is made to do this in a fun way and designed in a fashion similar to that of a sporting competition (tournament bracket, team vs. team, game-show style, and so on). The Science Bowl gets students excited about STEM and interested in learning more about the different careers within the different fields.
