Ravers Against World Starvation

Ravers Against World Starvation (RAWS) is a grassroots, Detroit-based movement that uses the energy of electronic dance music (EDM) culture to fight food insecurity. We believe music is more than a party — it’s a platform for change.

Our volunteers organize food drives, collect donations, and partner with local organizations to bring meals and resources directly to underserved communities. At the same time, we uplift the rave and music scene by showing how compassion, creativity, and community can move together.

We are building our founding board of directors and are actively seeking dedicated, reliable people to serve as Secretary and Treasurer. These roles are vital to our next step — becoming a fully recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

• Secretary: Helps with record-keeping, meeting notes, and compliance paperwork.
• Treasurer: Oversees finances, donations, and basic reporting (ideal for someone with accounting, finance, or bookkeeping experience).

If you love music, care about community, and want to use your skills to fight hunger, RAWS is a place where your passion can truly make a difference.
