    We are looking for a Raiser's Edge Database Administrator/Development Assistant at a non-profit for an onsite role in New York City.

    All candidates must have demonstrated expert level proficiency with Raiser’s Edge, Luminate, and Financial Edge to be considered.

    This is a hands-on, detail-intensive role responsible for donor database management, gift processing, acknowledgments, reporting, and reconciliation. The position requires deep technical expertise and is best suited to someone who takes pride in accuracy, data integrity, and proactive problem-solving.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage gift entry and the acknowledgment process, ensuring accurate data entry and timely mailing of personalized acknowledgment letters, tributes, and premium gifts
    • Create and manage queries, generate gift and donor reports, produce mailing lists, and prepare donor recognition listings
    • Transfer and reconcile information between Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge
    • Prepare and manage gift batches and work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate reconciliation
    • Maintain database integrity through routine clean-up, audits, and data enhancement activities
    • Serve as the primary database resource for staff, providing troubleshooting and user support
    • Maintain filing systems and provide general administrative support to the CDO and Development team
    • Liaise professionally with donors and stakeholders

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • 3–4 years of experience using Raiser’s Edge in a fundraising environment
    • Expert-level proficiency in Raiser's Edge, Luminate, and knowledge of uploading to Financial Edge
    • Experience with data migration, system integration, mass batch imports, conditional mail merges, and CRM database management

    This is a fully onsite position - no remote work available. The hours are Monday–Thursday 9am–5pm; Friday 9am–4pm; with occasional evening or weekend events/projects.

    Software: MS Office (Word, Excel-mostly mail merge), Raiser’s Edge, Luminate, Financial Edge – cannot train, must have skills

    Salary: $75,000 - $90,000/year, excellent benefits.
