Accountant (Part-time as needed)

We are looking for an Accountant to join our team on as-needed part-time/1099 basis. Starting pay for minimum requirements is $27/hr on a contractual basis. Applicant must reside in the USA.

About the position: You will work as part of an Accounting Team to support nonprofits. The work includes some ongoing tasks (like AP, AR, and payroll) as well as one-time projects with a number of different clients.

The work is both challenging and interesting, and will give you the chance to work with some of the top leaders in the nonprofit sector. This position is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills and make a big difference every day.

You will be trained and supported by your Team Lead, so nonprofit or public accounting experience are plusses but not strictly required. You should be detail-oriented, responsible, independent, and comfortable with accrual accounting, GAAP, and internal controls. Experience with QuickBooks and Excel is a must. Experience with grant invoicing is desired.
