Technical Operations Analyst

Civix Strategy Group is seeking a Technical Operations Analyst to join our Operations Team. This role blends operational excellence with technical problem solving and is ideal for someone who enjoys building systems, improving processes, and helping teams work smarter. The Technical Operations Analyst will support internal operations, maintain and improve data tools, and help implement scalable solutions across the organization.

About the Role

The Technical Operations Analyst is a self-described data nerd and detail-oriented team player with the strong technical skills needed to provide hands-on support for existing data systems as well as the creativity and big-picture thinking required to guide the construction of and transition to a bigger, better, more scalable data system. This full-time position can be accomplished remotely from the East Coast.

The Technical Operations Analyst will play a key role in designing and implementing improvements to the organization’s data infrastructure. This person will work closely with multiple teams and staff to maintain, improve, and build data tracking and analysis tools that monitor progress, improve efficiency, and support data-informed decision making.

The Technical Operations Analyst will be responsible for assisting with a range of tasks, including:

• Monitoring and updating the current data infrastructure and analytical tools to ensure accurate financial insights and forecasts
• Understanding the full life cycle of client data and designing a new data infrastructure system and client-facing analytical platform
• Other tasks as assigned by management

Candidates must have:

• Excellent technical competency in Google suite or MS Office (especially Google Sheets or Excel)
• Some demonstrated experience with some of the technology listed below
• Python, R,/R Shiny, Redshift, SQL, Tableau, Looker Studio or similar
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Commitment to client privacy and confidentiality
• Ability to work quickly and cooperatively under pressure
• Superior organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• High standards of excellence and commitment to meeting deadlines
• Proactive and self-directed learner

Preferred but not required:

• Prior experience working with 501(3) and 501(c4) non profit organizations
• Prior experience working in a campaign environment
• Knowledge or experience with Quickbooks

Compensation:

Salary starts at $90,000. This position is eligible for an employee benefits package including employer matched 401k, paid time off, employer sponsored short term disability and group life insurance and a shared cost health and dental insurance program.
