Freedman Consulting, LLC, a mission-driven consulting firm, seeks a proactive and experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to ensure a smooth and compliant operation of the firm’s human resources function. The HR and Operations Manager serves as a key resource in managing the full scope of generalist HR tasks and serves a vital role on the HR and Operations team, joining a growing team of almost 50 people working at the intersection of policy, philanthropy, and politics, to advance innovations and impacts for the greater social good.
The HR Manager plans, executes and manages a wide variety of essential people administration and generalist HR tasks. This includes overseeing core HR operations while contributing to firm-wide initiatives that promote employee engagement. They will be handling multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that works across the entire organization, engages with staff at all levels of the firm, and identifies and implements strategies to enhance the firm’s HR practices.

Freedman Consulting offers strategic consulting services to foundations, nonprofit organizations, and public interest coalitions, partnering with many of the nation’s leading philanthropic institutions. Our work includes strategic planning and issue landscaping for major foundations, campaign advising and coordination for coalitions, and policy development for a variety of advocacy and political campaigns and spans topics including public-private partnerships, economic mobility, criminal justice reform, and technology policy.
Primary Responsibilities
Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:
Approximately 5-7 years of previous Human Resources generalist experience. The salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000. In addition to base annual compensation, Freedman Consulting offers a comprehensive benefits package and discretionary annual bonus based on individual and firm performance.
