Creative Mindset Consulting has been retained to recruit for multiple STEM Instructor positions. We are looking for candidates located in the greater Washington region ( PG County, Montgomery County, Charles County, and Anne Arundel County.

BCAUSEICAN is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering underserved communities through educational programs and services. Our core technology-based initiatives include:

• BCAUSEICAN CODE: Introduces K–12 students to block-based and object-oriented coding languages including Scratch, Python, and foundational AI concepts.
• BCAUSEICAN THRIVE: Offers adults beginner-friendly training in basic technology, from using email to navigating digital tools.
• BCAUSEICAN INTELLIGENCE ( BI): Offers bilingual Artificial Intelligence instruction students and adults of all ages. This advanced program focuses on the fundamentals and applications of Artificial Intelligence, including machine learning, natural language processing, data science, and ethical AI use.

Role Overview

We are seeking Computer Skills Instructors to join our teaching pool for computer skills instruction. This flexible role supports both youth and adult programs. Instructors will be assigned class assignments in Prince George's County, Anne Arundel County, and Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, beginner to advanced level coding and technology classes (up to 2 hours per session, plus prep and wrap-up).
• Collaborate with a co-instructor when applicable to manage class dynamics and support learners.
• Adjust instruction to meet the needs of students with varying skill levels.
• Provide feedback and guidance to participants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or STEM related undergraduate or graduate program.
• Experience working with K–12 students or adult learners.
• Proficiency in block-based and object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Scratch, Python, and AI).
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must successfully pass a background check.

Commitment

• Availability to work during after-school hours Monday - Friday.
• Programs run in 8 to 16-week cycles, typically once a week per site.
• Minimum commitment: availability for at least one session per week if selected.
