    Descripción

Abundance Catalyst is a fundraising consulting firm supporting movement organizations advancing racial justice, behavioral health, economic equity, LGBTQIA+ rights, and more. We help nonprofits and advocacy groups build sustainable fundraising programs so they can raise more and win real change. We value alignment with our mission, autonomy in how we work, and a culture of excellence and care.

The Role: This is a high-trust role at the center of the business. You will keep client work moving, build systems that reduce bottlenecks, and support day-to-day operations. You will work directly with Robin Engle, founder of Abundance Catalyst, supporting both client work and internal operations. You will manage scheduling, systems, and workflows, and make day-to-day decisions while keeping Robin informed of key priorities and tradeoffs. This role is best suited for someone with prior professional experience who is ready to take ownership of systems and operations. It can grow in scope, hours, and compensation over time.

What Success Looks Like: Success in this role means the business runs smoothly and predictably because of your work. The calendar reflects real priorities, meetings are scheduled and confirmed in advance, and the inbox is triaged so nothing urgent is missed. Projects are clearly tracked in Asana, with tasks completed on time and nothing falling through the cracks. Content is published on schedule, systems reduce repeated work, and invoicing and payments are accurate and timely. Your work creates the capacity to grow the business and better support movement organizations.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Executive Support: Calendar and email management; scheduling and prioritization; travel coordination
    • Content + Communications: Publish content (blog, LinkedIn, email); slide deck formatting
    • Operations + Systems: Manage projects in Asana; build SOPs; improve workflows; light tech support (tools, troubleshooting, integrations)
    • Fundraising + Admin: Research and tracking; admin support; invoicing and payment matching

    What We’re Looking For

This is not an entry-level role. We’re looking for someone with at least 3–5 years of experience in operations, administration, project coordination, or a similar role in a professional setting. You’ve owned processes, not just supported tasks, and are comfortable managing work independently.

    • Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience building or improving systems, workflows, or SOPs
    • Experience supporting a senior leader, small team, or client-facing work
    • Experience working in a small organization or supporting a founder/ED
    • Comfortable making decisions, managing ambiguity, and operating without constant direction

    Bonus:

    • Experience in nonprofit, advocacy, or consulting environments
    • Experience with Wix, LinkedIn, QuickBooks, or Asana
    • Experience building SOPs or internal systems from scratch

Tools: Google Workspace and ChatGPT (or other Gen AI) required; experience with project management tools, QuickBooks, Canva, Wix, or LinkedIn preferred.

    Compensation, Benefits, Time Off

    • $35/hour (W2), approximately 20 hours/week
    • 40 hours PTO, WA-compliant sick leave, paid holidays + winter closure, $500 professional development budget, laptop + $250 home office stipend

Schedule + Location: 20 hours/week with a consistent, agreed-upon weekly schedule within 9am–5pm PT. Primarily remote, with one required in-person coworking day per week. Must be within driving distance of Tacoma, WA.

Equity Statement: We are committed to building a team that reflects the communities and movements we serve. We strongly encourage people of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, people with disabilities, and people from underrepresented backgrounds to apply.

How to Apply: Please submit a resume and cover letter via email to jobs@abundancecatalyst.org, with the subject line “Abundance Catalyst Executive Assistant, [Your First Name, Last Name]”. In your cover letter, share what motivates you to work towards political change and describe a system or SOP you personally built or significantly improved, including the problem it solved and how it was used.

Priority deadline: April 15 Final deadline: May 1.

Our hiring process includes interviews and a paid 2-week work trial at $35/hour to assess mutual fit.
