Upperline Code

At Upperline Code, we believe that learning to code can be a transformational experience. We do this by training teachers to build excellent learning environments. We lead fun, rigorous, and collaborative programming courses for high school students, professional development for new and aspiring computer science teachers, and specialty programs for industry partners and non-profits. In every one of our classes, participants build real apps, engage with coding best-practices, and become a part of a supportive and inclusive community of learners. We believe that curriculum can only be called excellent if it provides an excellent learning experience for all students, especially for the young women, nonbinary students, and students of color who take our classes. We strive towards parity across those lines of identity in our student feedback, and constantly iterate based on our findings about which pieces of our curriculum need to be revised to reach that goal.

Upperline Code is a member of the CSforAll Consortium, the national network of CS education providers, funders, and researchers working to support the mission of expanding access to CS education for all K-12 students.
