Vision. Problems are solved as barriers to change are removed. Communities are enabled, understanding how to approach and track social, environmental, and economic transformation in practical, tangible ways.

Mission. To provide honest, non-judgmental guidance and clear, organized support for entities working to be less carbon-intensive, more sustainable, and more resilient to climate change.

o   S&A does not work with entities who are actively making climate change worse.

o   S&A does not work with clients who are unwilling to creatively evolve.

Operating principles. If community problems are solved and their thinking / approaches transformed, and if products and programs are easy to understand and use, then achieving systemic changes will be possible for clients in their work. S&A leads with:

o   Strategy. Mission-aligned opportunities are evaluated against company goals, current workload, and perceived risk. They are accepted if it is a fit, or kindly passed over if not.

o   Kind response. Real-time responses are provided to those who ask in order of receipt, regardless of title or affiliation. Special care is given to those often ignored by others.

o   Clear organization. Processes, systems, and databases are built for user transferability. The client is taught how to help themselves and assisted as needed - even if slightly out of scope.

o   Timely diligence. Projects are approached with a set timeline and clear methods yet managed with creative adaptability as circumstances change.

o   Full preparation. Each task is given the time needed to allow for iterative problem solving with teammates and the client. Deliverables are packaged for ease of use and presented on time.

o   Considerate flexibility. Facilitation, presentation, and staff / client interactions are not rigid, but rooted in awareness, kindness, and humor. People are treated how they want to be treated.
