Monument Search Group is looking to hire our 7th Staffing Director, and this person will specifically work within the nonprofit sector to support organizations that need our sourcing help the most.
Position Overview
The Staffing Director plays a key role in cultivating relationships with nonprofit leaders and job seekers exploring new opportunities. This person will manage the full recruitment cycle, source high-quality candidates, understand organizational needs, and ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with nonprofit executives, hiring managers, and community partners.
- Engage with job seekers to understand their backgrounds, career goals, and ideal work environments.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned searches: intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer support.
- Source candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, and proactive outreach.
- Present qualified candidates to clients with clarity, accuracy, and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate notes, activity tracking, and pipeline updates in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Represent the firm with professionalism, warmth, and a genuine commitment to serving nonprofits.
- Stay informed of nonprofit sector trends, compensation expectations, and talent market shifts.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, low-ego team culture.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of recruiting, staffing, or talent acquisition experience in a recruiting agency (nonprofit experience a plus but not required).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple searches and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and understand organizational dynamics.
- High integrity, professionalism, and a service-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and ATS tools preferred.
