    We are currently in search of a Development Coordinator for a Nonprofit Community Services Organization. The position is based in San Jose, CA. This is a Full Time (40 hrs./wk.), Hybrid, Temporary-to-Permanent assignment.

    POSITION TITLE: Development Coordinator

    DURATION: Temporary-to-Permanent

    SCHEDULE: Full Time; Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote); Monday-Friday (40 hrs./wk. which could require being out in the field some evenings and weekends)

    HOURLY RATE: $28-30/hr. DOE

    Is This Your Dream Job? As the Development Coordinator, you'll report to the Development Director and work closely with the staff to implement development strategies to support and advance the organization's funding goals and priorities. The Development Coordinator will contribute to a range of activities related to campaign appeals, corporate, foundation, and individual giving goals, and other assigned projects.

    Our Ideal Candidate:

    • Minimum of three years of relevant experience; work samples may be requested as part of the interview process
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Experience using platforms such as Monday, Mailchimp, Squarespace, Canva, Salesforce, Funraise, and Eventbrite
    • Prior experience on a development or fundraising team is essential

    How You Will Spend Your Day:

    Annual Sponsorship and Development Support - 40%

    • Manage annual sponsorship outreach to corporate, foundation, and government sponsorships, including stewardship, renewals, and identifying new funding opportunities
    • Conduct prospect research to assess donor capacity and interest, including net worth, giving history, and philanthropic trends across donor segments
    • Prepare reports and presentations that communicate funding impact, highlight successes, address challenges, and inform strategic decision-making
    • Maintain accurate donor and gift records by processing contributions, updating CRM data, and generating customized reports to support development activities
    • Support annual giving campaigns across print, email, and social media platforms, contributing to content creation, segmentation, and performance tracking

    Donor Relations & Data Entry – 30%

    • Process gifts and maintain donor records in CRM (e.g., Salesforce, Donor Management software)
    • Manage email lists and gift acknowledgments
    • Respond to or forward donor/member inquiries
    • Compile basic fundraising reports and metrics with guidance from the Development Director
    • Conduct donor and prospect research as needed

    Communications & Event Support – 20%

    • Assist in the layout and production of email campaigns, newsletters, and social media content
    • Coordinate updates to the organization's website via Squarespace
    • Help draft and prepare donor communications, annual reports, and printed materials
    • Support the planning and execution of fundraising and stewardship events such as Bike to the Future, the Summit, and the Membership Party
    • Email invitations, guest registration, and event logistics (e.g., venue setup, staffing support). Support the creation of branded materials for fundraising and events

    Operations & Administrative Support – 10%

    • Track and process invoices and billing related to marketing or development vendors
    • Maintain branded merchandise inventory and renew relevant subscriptions
    • Assist with scheduling and meeting logistics for the Development team
    • Additional responsibilities as needed to support the success of the team and organization
