    Wanderlust Careers is currently hiring for a part-time, Resume Writer!

    This is not a traditional writing role—we’re looking for an altruistic, tech-savvy person who is interested in how psychology, creative writing, and strategy can improve peoples’ lives. Wanderlust Careers offers Career Coaching, Career Testing, and Resume Writing with one-on-one sessions with top-of-the-line Career Coaches.

    This position is for someone who wants to utilize their writing/editing skills in a social enterprise with a mission to help others. Our ideal candidate is: super organized, warm, empowering, hungry, creative, and independent.

    Specific Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)

    • Perform 30-minute resume editing sessions via phone (to assess client goals, develop strategy, ask clarifying questions about work history, educate the client, provide recommendations, etc.)
    • Review client data and utilize it to create new resume content
    • Use your editorial judgement and creativity to show the client in their best light and promote the client for the job they want by highlighting parts of their past roles that have to do with the job they want, and deemphasizing the things that have nothing to do with the job they want
    • Utilize AI to perfect grammar and sentence structure (no typos are ok with todays tools!)
    • Collaborate with team members (e.g., client’s Career Coach, client’s assessment specialist, and/or consulting psychologists)
    • Collaborate with client via Google docs to edit resumes and cover letters until they are picture-perfect!
    • Use resume data to update LinkedIn profiles according to resume info, and make back-end changes to increase visibility via keywords and settings
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the company CRM, tracking progress and key milestones throughout the engagement
    • Identify opportunities to enhance client outcomes by recommending relevant additional services that support a comprehensive, holistic approach to their career development

    Qualifications

    • Professional writing and editing experience
    • The ability to think strategically and creatively to drive client outcome improvements
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Highly responsive, organized, and detail oriented
    • Ability to utilize AI to work efficiently and quickly

    Salary & Benefits:

    • $40 per hour, part-time (10-25 hours per week)
    • 100% remote—work from anywhere!
    • Flexible schedule—make your own hours, as long as you get your work done and our clients feel supported, we don’t mind what hours you keep
