Are you a relationship builder who is passionate about making a meaningful impact? We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Development Manager to lead and grow our fundraising efforts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on connecting with donors, building sustainable funding streams, and advancing our mission-driven organization.

We are Vina Moses Center, a nonprofit organization that has long been a cornerstone of Corvallis for over 100 years. Our mission is simple but powerful: to help people through times of hardship by engaging the community to build resilience and improve wellbeing. Every day, we meet urgent needs by providing clothing, household goods, food, and other essential items donated by the community to those who need them most.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Development Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program that supports the organization’s mission and long-term sustainability. This includes individual, corporate, and foundation giving; in-kind donations; special events; and donor communications.

In this role, you will work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to develop and execute fundraising strategies that drive results and deepen community engagement.

    Key responsibilities include:

      • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet annual revenue and in-kind donation goals
      • Plan and execute engaging fundraising events
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and community partners
      • Develop strategies to grow and sustain a robust base of annual donors
      • Maintain accurate donor records and oversee data entry and gift processing
      • Implement systems for tracking and acknowledging in-kind donations
      • Assist with proposal development and reporting for foundation and corporate funding

    Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
      • 2+ years of experience in fundraising or development, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
      • Experience managing projects and events, including working with external stakeholders. This includes having strong collaboration skills with a flexible, team-oriented approach.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including donor-focused writing.
      • Proficiency with Google and Microsoft applications, donor databases, and communication tools.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations and have a demonstrated commitment to equity and social justice.

The Development Manager position is full-time (exempt) with a salary range of $58,000-$63,000 annually. Work is performed on-site from our office in Corvallis.

We offer a benefit package which includes generous paid time off and holidays, paid sick leave, health, dental, and vision benefits, and 3% IRA match.
